PHASE III - Construction

Work on the new Oak Street Bridge began in May 2015 and is expected to be complete in June 2016. The bridge opened to traffic in December 2015.  Throughout the spring of 2016, contractors will be adding landscaping and decorative elements.

Construction progress and traffic impact updates are available through this website, Village of Hinsdale Board of Trustees meetings and from the local newspapers. Residents in the immediate area may also receive notices to their homes.

As the only grade-separated crossing of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad tracks, the Oak Street Bridge plays an important role in conveying local traffic north and south of the bridge. The Village thanks you for your patience during construction.

Questions or comments about construction can be sent to Village Engineer Dan Deeter at ddeeter@villageofhinsdale.org.
